CRM manages a number of long/short equity private funds. CRM affiliated private funds can accommodate both onshore and offshore accredited individuals and institutional investors. At this time, CRM manages the following long/short equity strategies:

All Cap Long/Short Equity

This strategy is a long biased long/short equity strategy, available to accredited investors, focusing on stocks across all market capitalizations using a bottom-up and value-oriented investment process. On the long side, we invest in stocks undergoing change (e.g. mergers, divestitures, new management or products) and are in our view neglected by Wall Street, with attractive valuations where the intrinsic value may exceed the current stock price. On the short side, we seek to take advantage of the CRM Research Team’s intensive due diligence process and short stocks of companies we find are experiencing negative catalysts or fundamental deterioration.

Absolute Return Long/Short Equity

This long/short equity private fund, available to accredited investors, employs a classic hedging strategy that seeks to generate absolute returns through fundamental equity analysis and disciplined management of the portfolio’s long and short exposures. CRM identifies attractive long and short investments by utilizing the portfolio manager’s experience in industry research, ‘connecting the dots’ and investing with extensive real estate market knowledge.

The team employs a flexible investment strategy, in which, both opportunistic trading and the active management of long/short exposures are incorporated. Our primary focus is U.S. and international common stocks, with occasional investments in corporate bonds, exchange traded funds, options and warrants.
